The bug is simple: gold/purple Tribal Axes don't drop or spawn, even though I assume they should be (someone from Arena NET please correct me if I am wrong!). Even though a max-damage WHITE Tribal Axe can drop/spawn, no max-damage gold, purple (or even BLUE) has ever been known to exist.

I have no doubt that some of you may not think this belongs in a bug thread, but after trying (without success) to contact anet's customer service through email/ticket requests and not getting anything but automated or copy/pasted paragraphs, I have to conclude that it is.

In my opinion, this is to be classified a bug unless I can obtain a satisfactory answer to each of the following 3 questions:

1) Is it possible to obtain a max-damage inscribable/15^50 Tribal Axe off of a random drop from the mob in, say, Istan in Hard Mode? If yes, what is the approximate probability or relative rarity of such a drop?

2) Is it at all possible to obtain a max-damage, inscribable gold/purple/blue version of the Tribal Axe, either off of a drop or at least from the Hall of Heroes reward chest?

3) If the answer to both of the above questions is 'no', then what is the reason(s) why the Tribal Axe skin is unavailable to us players? Every other martial weapon skin in Guild Wars is available in a max-damage green/gold version (Sickle has Victo's Axe, etc, etc.). The Tribal Axe skin is the ONLY skin that you deny players full access to. Why?

I have done the following research about Tribal Axes and their drop/spawn rate (which, I assume, is supposed to be more than 0% for max-damage inscribables). Keep in mind that I did all of this after the advent of Hard Mode. I have spent over 550 hours in the last 2 months farming Tribal Axes in Istan on Hard Mode. I have asked over 100 different players if they have ever even SEEN a max-damage inscribable or 15^50 Tribal Axe. All of them answered no. I have also checked every Guild Wars forum I know of and Googled it using half a dozen different queries every single day, sifting through the same 500+ search results every single day. Nobody seems to have a max-damage, inscribable/15^50 version of the Tribal Axe weapon skin.

I would appreciate it if someone like a GM or a person from the Guild Wars dev team would be so kind as to speak to me about this. I would really like a resolution to this dilemma, or at least a max-damage inscribable Tribal Axe in my storage.

That is not a blue Tribal Axe. He modded it with +5 armor, but it originally dropped as max white. You can tell because if it was blue it would have a price (people use ID kits on blues/purples/golds, and any decent blue on up usually has an inscription slot or some sort of damage mod).

By the way, even if there does exist a max blue inscribable Tribal Axe, (and after 2 months of looking I doubt that I will be proven wrong) my argument still stands because purple/gold Tribal Axes do not.

Uhmm...Dude, just let it go. Who cares about that axe? It is ugly as hell and plus there is a lot of better axes out there. Only thing is, it is rare and valuable but it is SO rare that it isn't even worth farming it. So, screw it.

P.S. I got several Tribal Axes while farming Minister Cho's Estate (explorable) on HM. And I am 100% sure that some blue Tribal Axe droped, I think it was 11%>50 or something. I sold 'em all to merchant. Pieces of crap if you ask me.

I don't care what anyone else thinks, it is my favorite axe skin in the game and I intend to get it, even if it KILLS me. And when it comes down to it I am curious as to WHY anet would deny full access to just this one particular skin. Why deny players the tribal axe skin, why not deny them something else?

And yes, I am aware that blue inscribable/modded tribal axes drop. If you read my post you will see that I am arguing that the drop/spawn rate for MAX blue/purple/gold Tribal Axes is 0% and that there is no evidence to prove otherwise. Since there is currently no way to disprove my theory, it must be true and this must be a bug.

I dare someone to prove me wrong. Add my IGN (Bogatyr Slic) and PM me. Show me a max-damage inscribable Tribal Axe.

Unlock them via PvP.

I am aware they can be unlocked in PvP, but the reason i started farming them is because I just want one for my PvE warrior...

EDIT: The reason I originally started this thread is because I think the fact that no max-damage blue/purple/gold Tribal Axes drop is a bug. By that I mean that they are simply excluded from the drop tables in the game. If this is the case (and I hope that someone from anet can confirm or deny this theory), only anet's developers can help me get what I am after.

they can be farmed in ascalon max but no inscript so you have to be lucky to get one with 15^50^^ (hm)
